KERALA: GODS OWN COUNTRY

 

Kerala, a home to the languid backwaters, sprawling tea gardens, huge coastline and beautiful skies. The ideal time for trip in Kerala in monsoon. I was baffled when I saw Kerala in rain. This was one of the enriching experience. This is one of the very enriching experience I had In my life. Be it its scenic beauty or its lip-smacking food, everything seemed too fascinating. Being “ gods own country”, the state of kerela is blessed with immense natural wonders, flora and fauna, from stunning waterfalls  to the crystalline backwaters. I experienced many things in this beautiful state in 8 days. 

The Kovalam beach, the lighthouse beach, the lighthouse road, the kerela backwaters lying parallel to the Arabian sea coast, locally known as ‘Poovar kayal’ , the silent valley national park are some of the best places I visited in this beautiful capital city of Kerela TRIVANDRUM- a city with the perfect blend of spirituality and nature’s lover’s paradise. Apart from heavenly nature this city has an appealing urban charisma, that left me perplexed.

KANYAKUMARI the southern most tip of the indian peninsular, there is something about this place that feels like of postcards being mounted upright to evoke childlike delight from within. The city is located on the southern most tip of the indian mainland in the state of tamil nadu that has scintillating sunrises and sunsets at the confluence of three water bodies- the Bay Of Bengal from the east, the Arabian Sea from the west and Indian Ocean towards the south-that converge to reveal all the hues of greens and blues. A couple of metres away from the coast, there is statue of the famous Tamil poet THIRUVALLIVAR, back on the coast is another memorial of yet another revered soul-MAHATMA GANDHI.  

With soo much to offer, Kanyakumari does leave me pleasantly  surprised with its diverse attractions.

 

The extensive coastline with palm lined beaches just left me awestruck and calm at the same point of time. When the gust of cool sea breeze struck, caressing my face the series of thoughts followed, that feeling was something I can’t express. Being a water lover I always take my alone time away from my family and friends and just sit next to the water and TALK!! As if it is one of my oldest friend. I always feel certain connection with water whenever I go near it, even while sitting on the mushy sand, listening to the silent music of water, the feeling is ‘ethereal’.

All the water lovers out there can actually relate to this that my words can’t express here.
